Description Victory Medal, Private Gaisford Army Service Corps Medal correctly impressed: M2-080166 Pte. A. Gaisford. A.S.C. Some service papers have survived for Gaisford and are digitised online. Albert Gaisford enlisted 7th May 1915 age 23. Trade given as ‘Engineer’, address ‘The Bungalow’, Fisherton, Salisbury. To France 5th Jan 1916, compulsory transfer to the 15th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment 25th Sept. 1917, new number 33796. Gunshot wound to the hand, 23rd Aug 1918, returned to the UK. Back to BEF 22 Nov 1918, to 1/8th Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Discharged 6th March 1919.
